Sketchin’ and Jammin’

It’s 9pm on Wednesday night, the night before the last of 2009. As I write, Tom Waggoner, the project’s main construction man, and Jim Westbrook, the project’s architect, are jamming away together. It turns out they are old friends, bonded over their connection with Lama Yeshe, like thousands of other students around the world. Jim just flew in from home state Arkansas to help out with the stupa plans. He sketched out the site so you can finally see what we have seen in our minds for months…

It’s not one stupa we’re talking about but 4! One 6 foot Enlightenment stupa placed above Lama’s actual cremation site. At Lama Zopa’s recommendation, three smaller 3 foot Kadampa stupas will surround the main one. Here’s the sketch for you!

Donate now to help us bring this project to completion. Our target as of the 30th of December is $40,400.

May all who contribute in any way to this project reap the fruit of pure guru devotion, the root of the path to enlightenment, and may all their temporal and ultimate wishes be fulfilled.
